Behind the scenes of our biggest community camp of the year.

Last month we ran our biggest community camp yet: 200 hikers, 3 trails, 2 nights and one unforgettable long weekend in the Knuckles range.

What started as a conversation in our WhatsApp community — "what if we did a mega-camp?" — turned into six months of planning, 40 guides, a purpose-built camp kitchen serving 400 meals per day, and logistics that required military precision.

The weekend kicked off on Friday evening with a camp welcome and orientation. By the time the sun went down, 200 strangers had become 200 hiking partners, assigned to trail groups of 20, each with an experienced leader.

Saturday saw three simultaneous summit hikes — different peaks, different difficulty levels, all converging back at base camp by 3 PM for a communal feast. Watching 200 exhausted, grinning hikers descend from three different ridgelines at once is a sight we won't forget.

Saturday night was magical: a clear sky over the highlands, campfires, music and the kind of conversation that only happens when people have shared a physical challenge together.

We've already announced the next mega-camp. If you were there, you know why. If you weren't — make sure you are next time.
